James Kip Cutler

	James Kip Cutler, 48, of Ottawa, formerly of Tamaroa, passed away February 8, 2002 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet.
	Kip worked for the State of Illinois as Chief of Security at the Joliet Penitentiary for the Illinois Department of Corrections.  He had also worked at Robinson, Ill. and Pinckneyville, Ill correction centers.  He was a Tamaroa High School graduate.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran.  Kip was a member of the Tamaroa Masonic Lodge #207 and past master.  He was a member of the Scottish Rite Masonic Bodies, Valley of Southern Illinois at Belleville and the Ainad Shrine of East St. Louis.
	He was born December 21, 1953 at Kankakee, the son of James and Bonnie (Morrow) Cutler.  He married Sharon Vargo on October 1, 2001 at Pinckneyville and she survives.
	He is survived by his wife of Ottawa; father, James Cutler of Appleton, Wis.; daughter, Leah Bartlow and husband Gary of Royalton; brother, Brian Cutler of DuBois; grandchildren, Jonathon Tramell, Joshua and Jamison Bartlow, all of Royalton.
	He was preceded in death by his mother.
	Masonic funeral services were at 7:30 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2002 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Master Larry Pruett officiating.
	Friends called from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
	Cremation services followed.
	Friends may make memorials to the Shriners Hospital or the Scottish Rites Learning Center.
